Ferris State To Host First-Ever Men's Basketball NCAA Regional This Weekend
For the first time in school history, the Ferris State University men's basketball team has been selected to host the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament this coming weekend (March 10-13) at FSU's Jim Wink Arena.
The top-seeded Bulldogs, who beat Lake Superior State in Sunday's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Championship Game for the program's fourth consecutive league postseason crown, will host eighth-seeded Ohio Dominican on Saturday (March 10) in regional quarterfinal round action starting at 6 p.m. (ET).  
The contest will be the third of four regional quarterfinal-round games on Saturday with the entire regional tournament taking place on the campus of Ferris State University.
The complete first round matchups and regional seedings are listed below:
Session 1:
12 p.m. - #3 Findlay vs. #6 Drury (Mo.)
2:30 p.m. - #2 Bellarmine (Ky.) vs. #7 Truman State (Mo.)
Session 2:
6 p.m. - #1 Ferris State vs. #8 Ohio Dominican
8:30 p.m. - #4 Lake Superior State vs. #5 Hillsdale
The winners will take part in the regional semifinal games on Sunday (March 11) with the first semifinal at 5 p.m. (ET) pitting the winners of game one and two in the quarterfinal round and the second semifinal game at 7:30 p.m. (ET) between the winners of quarterfinal games three and four. The Bulldogs would play in the second regional semifinal on Sunday with an opening-round victory.
The regional championship game is on Tuesday (March 13) at 7 p.m. (ET).
The single-elimination national tournament field includes eight regions of eight teams apiece. The Midwest Regional champion will advance to the NCAA Division Elite Eight set for March 21-24 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Tickets for the NCAA Regional will be $15 per session for adults and $10 for students. 
Advance tickets for the tournament will go on sale Tuesday starting at 12 p.m. (ET). Tickets will be available for purchase online at or at the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. NCAA guidelines do not permit any complimentary tickets to be issued.
All seats are general admission and no regular-season passes of any type will be accepted per national tournament regulations.
The box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) this week and starting on Saturday prior to the quarterfinal games beginning at 10 a.m. (ET) with the doors to Wink Arena opening an hour prior to the first session. The ticket office will also open on Sunday starting two hours prior to the regional semifinals.
