With an Award/Plunge Party at Chippewa Township Community Building in Rodney, MI. Money raised from this event supports Special Olympics, Michigan\'s year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Taste test Chippewa Lake's finest chili with a $2.00 donation and/or grab a bowl of your favorite chili with a $3.00 donation. Vote for the best chili on the lake! Saturday, February 22nd at 1:30 pm on the hill east of Henderson Hall off of State St. The event will consist of teams of three people riding self made toboggans, consisting of only cardboard and duct-tape, down a hill in "time trial" style for prizes and bragging rights. There will also be a prize awarded for the best decorated toboggan. The entry fee per team is $10 or 6 non-perishable food items. Spectators are encouraged to bring donations. This fun filled event hosted by Circle K International is intended to raise money and non-perishables for our local food banks. Your participation or attendance would be greatly appreciated. The Chippewa Lake Ice Fishing Tournament will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the check-in location of the Eastbay General Store by 3pm. Tournament kicks off at 3:30pm! Tournament fee of $20 per person with an optional Pan Fish Contest fee of an additional $10. Prizes for the largest pike include: $200 for first place, and Hand Auger for second place. For the Pan Fish Individual Contest: $75 for first place, and Tip-Up/Fishing Pole for second place. Big Rapids Middle School Theatre Presents, \"A Tale As Old As Time!\" A performance of Disney\'s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a part of the Big Rapids Festival of the Arts and is open to the public at Big Rapids High School Auditorium on February 21st at 7:00pm and 22nd at 2:00pm. Ticket prices are $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and students, and can be purchased at the door.
