Paint The Town Black 5K

From 9:00AM to 12:00PM

2nd Annual Let’s Paint the Town Black! There will be a 5k run/walk and a 1-mile “Fun Run”, both events open to all ages, in McBain on July 26 at 9 am starting and ending at NMC School. All donations received from the 5k will go to support University of Michigan Cancer research to find a cure for Melanoma. It is being hosted by the family of Kelly Van Houten, who lost his battle with this disease in 2013. So put on your sunscreen and join us!. Beer and Wine Tasting Festival & Juried Fine Art

Friends of Alanson’s 2nd Annual Beer and Wine Tasting Festival and 1st Juried Fine Art Show will be held on Saturday, July 26 on the beautiful grounds of Stafford’s Crooked River Lodge and Suites located on US 31 just north of the M 68 intersection in Alanson. \r\nThis year’s event will benefit the Alanson High School’s Agriscience Greenhouse Project which they hope to build this fall. \r\nThe Juried Art show is from 11 am to 6 pm and is FREE and open to the public.\r\nThe Beer and Wine Tasting will feature Michigan wines and local Micro Brewed Beers and is from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.\r\nTickets for the Beer and Wine Tasting Festival can be gotten at the following Alanson Business – the Crooked River Lodge & Suites, WW Fairbairn’s & Sons or thru their on line store at www.friendsofalsnon.org Tickets are $20 in advance or $30 the day of the event. Purchase price includes 3 tasting tickets and a commemorative wine glass which will be given on the day of the event and tastes of appetizers from Up North Restaurants.
