For 25 years, Manna Pantry has been the source of food for those in need. Now, volunteers are making final preparations to celebrate by inviting the public to an open house on Saturday, August 16th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and summer promenade from 9 a.m. until noon. The pantry will be open throughout the morning where the public will be able to meet volunteers, get a tour of the facility and learn more about how emergency food is distributed. Sign-up for those wishing to participate in the "Summer Promenade" will take place throughout the morning beginning at the Pantry (315-B S. State St.) Registration is $10 and includes a tee shirt. For those who purchased a shirt at the "Winter Promenade" and wear it that day, registration is $5. "We hope everyone will join us as we celebrate our 25 years of service," said Pantry Executive Director Isabel Kempton.
