Big Rapids Community Playgroups

Located at Mecosta-Osceola ISD's Eastwood Early Childhood Center. 410 North Third Avenue, Big Rapids. This event is available at NO CHARGE to all families with children ranging from newborn until eligible for kindergarten who reside in the MOISD service area. Made possible through the collaborative efforts of Mecosta-Osceola ISD and Early On.

Talking Donkey Cafe Grand Opening

This Friday, January 30th at 7 pm, The Salvation Army will reopen the doors of their Talking Donkey Cafe. The 2015 Season will kick off with Live Music featuring 'True Vine', Grand Rapids, and free hot beverages. The Cafe will open every Friday from 7 pm - 10 pm until March 27th. "The Cafe provides a great opportunity for the community, including Ferris, to come in and enjoy a relaxing time of entertainment, coffee, and conversation, " says Lt. Chris Karlin, corps officer. Organizers add that there are also games, books and free Wi-Fi for homework or surfing the internet.
