Free training for caregivers or providers of people over 60 years of age will take place on June 23rd and June 30th. The sessions will run from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at the Michigan Works office, 240 E. Church Avenue in Reed City. Those wishing to attend this highly interactive day of training are asked to call Cindy Jeffer at 231-734-9083 to register. Lunch is being provided by Pere Marquette Catering.
Line dancing lessons will be instructed by Diane Jones at the Artworks Dance Studio every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-10:30am between June 1st and August 31st (Excluding July 6th and 8th). Cost: $2 per participant. Forms and further information can be found at brpr.org or by calling 231-592-4038.

Artworks Summer Camps 2015 Around the World in 80 Days- Take a trip around the world in art, music, language, and food when you come to camp at Artworks this summer. (For ages 7-13.) Camp 1: July 14-16 Asia- Practice Japanese origami, perform an Indonesian shadow puppet show, paint a Chinese landscape, practice martial arts movement, and more. Camp 2: July 21-23 Clay Around the World- Design, handform, and glaze pottery shapes from all over the world. Camp 3: July 28-30 The Americas- Create Alaskan, Navajo, and South American art and learn a little Spanish. Camp 4: August 4-6 India/Africa- Explore art from part of African and the Indian subcontinent. Each camp will span Tuesday to Thursday, 10 am – 3 pm at the Artworks Lower Level. Lunch will be provided through the BRMS Free Lunch Program. Campers will walk with supervision to and from the Big Rapids Middle School near Artworks. An afternoon snack will also be provided.
