28th Annual Steven C. Hall Memorial Golf Outing

From 8:00AM to 4:00PM

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2535 Inc. will host the 28th Annual Steven C. Hall Memorial Golf Outing at the Clear Lake Golf Course: 14777 150th Ave., Big Rapids. This outing will once again bring together a variety of people throughout the community and surrounding area to support local cancer patients with their transportation needs. With all the burdens and worries that a diagnosis of cancer brings, the monies raised will go a long way to alleviate the high costs of travel to doctor's appointments and treatment facilities. Sparta Celtic Festival

From 11:00AM to 10:30PM

A new tradition with old world style, in a free, family friendly festival featuring an all new Kids Corner, live music from the Celtic Traditions of Scotland and Ireland including bagpipes, drums, songs and more. Traditional Celtic entertainment include vendors and Celtic crafters, Caber tossing and Highland Games, Celtic dancers, and a Celtic 10 on 10 Rugby tournament. The entertainment tent features traditional brew and eats and surrounds the two stages with seating available on picnic tables or guests are invited to bring folding chairs. Free entrance into the festival grounds and to watch the entertainment. Located at the beautiful Rogers Park in downtown Sparta 75 N. Union St.

West Mecosta Pizza Battle

The Stanwood Lions Club is hosting a Pizza Battle! For $5 a person, you can taste all the best flavors in our area! Voting requires additional funds.
