The Barryton Farmer's Market is open every Saturday from 9 AM - 2 PM

We are located under the pavilion behind William's Cafe! We have a wide variety of items available every week, and are always welcoming new vendors also!

Do you grow a garden and always have extra produce you don't know what to do with? Do you do any crafting, including knitting, crocheting, make soaps, jams, jellies, baking? We would love to have you as part of the market as a vendor! The fee to sell is $5 per week

So, whether you are interested in being a vendor or a shopper, we would like to see you!

Paint The Town Black 5K

From 9:00AM to 12:00PM

4th Annual Let’s Paint the Town Black!!! There will be a 5K Run and Walk and a 1-Mile “Fun Run”, both events open to all ages, in McBain on Saturday, August 6th at 9 am starting and ending at Northern Michigan Christian School. All donations received from the 5K will go to support the University of Michigan Cancer Research to find a cure for Melanoma. It is being hosted by the family of Kelly Van Houten, who lost his battle with this disease in 2013. So put on your sunscreen and join us! MEMORIAL SPORTING CLAYS TOURNAMENT

12:30PM

The Mecosta County Rod & Gun Club will be holding a Sporting Clays Tournament on August 6th in honor of our deceased members.

You must shoot two rounds to compete.

The total of both rounds will determine your high score.

A plaque will be given to the person with the highest score.

This tournament is open to the public.

The club is located 4 miles West of Mecosta on M-20.

BARRYTON MUSEUM 2ND ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE

From 1:00PM to 5:00PM

MECOSTA COUNTY ROD & GUN CLUB - STEAK DINNER

From 5:00PM to 7:00PM

The Mecosta County Rod & Gun Club will be holding a steak dinner on August 6th.

Serving starts at 5 PM and will run until the steaks are gone or 7 PM.

The cost is $13.

Menu includes a 6 oz. Top Sirloin, baked potato, coleslaw, baked beans, roll and beverage.

The Mecosta County Rod & Gun Club is located 4 miles West of Mecosta on M-20.
