Grand Rapids Veterans Home Donation Drive

From 9:00AM to 4:30PM

Donations can be dropped off at the Mecosta County Senior Center, 12954 80th Ave. Mecosta. If coming for the lunch program,please make your reservation by Wednesday, November 9th at 231-972-2884. $3.00 for 60 and over $5.00 under 60 Our veterans eat free of charge.

Trunk-or-Treat

You're invited to a FREE Trunk-or-Treat! 

Come to Northand Drive just south of Campus, Big Rapids and safely trunk-or-treat at more than 20 vehicles among the more than 100 new vehicles on the lot. 

 

There will be FREE popcorn, hot cocoa from Bernies and FREE fun on Turtles from Big Rapids Roller Rink!

Nashville Meets Fremont Songwriters Bash October 22, 2016 Meet the Artists Morgan Frazier Morgan Frazier moved to Nashville from Breckenridge, Texas, at the age of 16 after selling 30,000 copies of her self-made, self-recorded album she recorded at the age of 9. She has most recently been on The Voice as a member of “Team Blake” but has a long history of public performances including numerous performances at the Grand Ole Opry, opening for artists including Josh Turner and Blake Shelton. She is currently an independent singer, songwriter, and performer, Morgan has connected with many through her soul and spirit. Joel Shewmake Organic country singer/songwriter, Joel Shewmake, discovered his musical talents at the age of fourteen while growing up in Cookeville, Tennessee. He moved to Nashville in January 2001 and landed his first publishing deal with BMG in November 2001. Since he has written for Amylase Entertainment/Warner Chapel and now currently writes for BMG/Chrysalis/Amylase Entertainment & has been privileged to play at the famed Bluebird Café. Joel Shewmake also is privileged to have songs cut by artists such as Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Gary Allan, Montgomery Gentry, Lone star, Craig Campbell & Jarrod Niemann. James Dupré James Dupré is from Bayou Chicot, Louisiana; his first notable public performance was on the Ellen DeGeneres show after she found one of his many almost 10 million views You Tube videos. Since then, James has been an active performer showing his versatility form stage to screen. He starred along-side Randy Travis in The Price, an independent film. He has recently released his second album and the title track; Stoned to Death was released as a single and a music video on CMT. James also was a contestant on The Voice as a member of “Team Adam.” He is a songwriter and performer who brings his southern roots and love of country music to each fortunate listener.

THERE WILL BE A BENEFIT ROAST BEEF DINNER ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 23 AT THE MARION VFW HALL FROM 11:30 TO 3:30, PRICE OF THE DINNER IS DONATION AND ALL PROCEEDS TO THE MARION FOOD PANTRY.
